About

A little about me!

When my three children were 8,10, and 13 years old, I learned how to play tennis at our country club. It was clear that I found something that I loved to do. I practiced as much as I could and played tennis as often as possible. I immediately started playing and even captaining tennis club teams, as well as on USTA tennis teams.

In 2016, I started teaching tennis with the teaching tennis professional, who taught me how to play tennis. We taught children and beginner adults how to play tennis. I became a certified PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) tennis instructor and then a certified USPTA (United States Professional Tennis Association) Tennis Professional. I enjoyed teaching tennis almost as much as I loved playing tennis. As my teaching tennis Pro often proclaimed, “we are ambassadors for the game of tennis.”

Play Tennis At Home (playtennisathome.com) evolved from my personal experience of spending time at home. First, I rehabbed for many months from an ankle surgery and then knee surgery. I found that through physical therapy and some progressive tennis drills, I was able to find my way back to the tennis court. Lastly, my husband and I found that due to the recent stay at home order, due to the Pandemic, we needed to get creative to keep up our tennis skills. For the love of tennis, I’ve put together some useful videos and tips to “play tennis at home.”
